What do I mean by how to keep going?
How to keep going, when nothing goes right, when you feel sad or depressed?
How to motivate yourself to continue reaching goals and not to give up?
Well, I do understand what it feels like not knowing what to do or giving up, or not believing in yourself. Sometimes, things don’t go in our favour and we still need to manage it somehow. But life is never easy and if one problem is solved, another appears and so on. Our whole life is one big job and we need to make it work for the best.
I think the first thing we need to do – keep having faith and confidence in yourself. It is easy to lose it as somebody may say we are not good enough, or get rejected with job applications or maybe your close-person makes you feel not good and that is it. Confidence is gone. It goes away easily, but to get that back takes some time. What I would suggest – take a walk, listen some music, do a photoshoot of yourself, go to a concert by yourself, do something that boosts your confidence and with that faith will come. Maybe you get more confidence being with certain people? Or maybe when you accomplish some things? Set up small goals then. Trust me, your confidence will come back and you will feel yourself. 😉
Sometimes in life happens so many things that we may start feel as we are victims 24/7. That is not correct as sometimes we are villains in different people stories, sometimes we exaggerate situation or do not see the whole perspective. But before becoming a victim try to look at situation objectively as possible, be as neutral as possible. Try to understand not only yourself but other person too. Think of solutions, what you can do, what you cannot. Sometimes for me really helped to make pluses and minuses about certain things. I even do these every year to see what happened (was it a bad year or good year in the end :D) You could do same, think of solutions and outcomes. If you need help, that is fine, you can always ask for it. Don’t be by yourself in difficult moments, especially if it is not easy to deal with, we all need each other. A lot of times we tend to think there is nobody to help us, or nobody cares about us, I can tell you it is not a truth. There is always somebody that cares for us. ❤
If you can’t find a will to move on, go for a holidays. Honestly, for me it is such a good reminder of everything – what I have, what I don’t have, what I miss, what I want to change or what I need. Even holiday in village with chickens and pigs helps, as long as you change your location. For example, after working at Starbucks I lost my confidence (I tend to lose it then restore it, it just goes up and down depending on circumstances). It took me looong time to get it back and it included my holidays in Slovakia. After that I believed in myself, but again my confident went down as I struggle to find a job. Like, I wasn’t even getting interviews.. Later I realized what I am, what I am capable of and I relaxed. I can get a job I want. It will just take some time. My confidence went so high, that after one interview they offered me a job immediately. That is an achievement (although I didn’t agree to go there in the end, but still good things).
